John arrived at Bright Kids Uganda on the 11th August, 2021. He was born on the 27th June, 2006 to Chrisostom Ssentongo and Florence Nankya at a place called Zziru village, Wamala ward parish, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso district, and the parents later separated due to disagreements.
His mother left her marital home for Bugiri where she remarried. She left them at a very young age. John was only two years by then. He is now 16 years.
John was in the hands of his grandmother who raised him with his three sisters. John attended school with support from his grandmother who managed to take him up to primary 7, raising money from stone quarrying, but was unable to continue from there because of her ill health.
His grandmother approached Madam Victoria for help to enable him to continue with secondary education.
