Peace was born in the bush and her exact date of birth is not known. She is a child of war. She has no next of kin and born in Gulu District. Her mother is Nancy Abwot Her who was abducted and taken to the bush but the father was not known to date. She an intelligent and hard working girl.

She was rescued from her mother who was a vulnerable and could hardly stay with her daughter to provide the required basic necessities. They were referred to Bright Kids Uganda (BKU) by well wishers who visited the mother and found her in a bad state. BKU was happy to offer a conducive loving environment to Peace where she would be provided with good education, health care and welfare so that she lives better life like the rest of the children.

She was received at BKU home since her mother was vulnerable and could not adequately support her.
