Otapu Micheal is a 15-year-old boy who was brought to Bright Kids Uganda home on 20th September 2017 by his mother seeking financial support to continue his education. After the death of Otapu’s father in 2002. His mother could not raise his school fees along with providing for her household forcing him to drop out of school. Otapu’s mother sought help from the director of BKU in 2017 and he was accepted into the home.

Otapu was taken back to school and started in primary five class where he had stopped. His favorite subject is English. His favorite free time activity is football and he dreams of being a  teacher in the future.
