Isaiah was living with his grandmother from his mother’s side since he was a baby. His parents both died of AIDS, his father in 2009 and his mother in 2010. Isaiah’s 3 older siblings live with their father’s family. Isaiah’s grandmother was connected to Victoria through a Muslim school in the area, (Nalugala Primary School). BKU helped with school fees and scholastic materials, as well as helped care for him medically since he has been HIV positive since birth. Isaiah was officially welcomed to BKU in March 2012.
