July 2016, Victoria, with Pittsburgh interns and Pauline Greenlick, wile visiting projects by a disability group in Wakiso District, came across Richard. Both of his parents died of AIDS. Richard, then nine years olds, could not walk, stand or talk. He was extremely untidy and used a very dirty pit-latrines with unfriendly surroundings, but it was all because Richard’s grandma- a widow herself could not afford anything better.

Eight months down the road, Richard visited his grandma and the story was different, attracting crowds from the neighborhood!! He now walked himself into his excited grandmum’s hands. All thanks to BKU and Noah’s Ark!
